The media today are awash with "green" stories about an electric sports car being introduced at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
The $80,000 Karma (interesting name) is being built and marketed by Fisker Automotive in Irvine, Calif. Reportedly, the Karma can go 50 miles on a single charge from a household 120-volt outlet.

Pasadena, site of yesterday’s Rose Parade and Rose Bowl, was dubbed “the crown of the valley” by the natives who first settled there. The name stuck as uptight midwesterners moved there and made it into what it is today.
