MLB Commissioner Bud Selig has revealed his un-American and unconstitutional stripes for the last time. Now it’s time for him to go.
A few weeks back Yankee slugger Jason Giambi seemed to take the high ground when, in an interview with USA Today, he admitted taking steroids (”stuff”) and said that, given that everyone in baseball including Selig knew what was going on, “everybody…should have apologized” for the sham that the game had become.
Especially Selig, who stood back with a smirk on his face as attendance soared while Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa, juiced on constant steroid consumption, battled the hot-dog-eating, beer-swirling Babe Ruth for the home run record.
Surprise, surprise! Steroids beat out beer and hot dogs.
What does Selig (who wasn’t actuallly mentioned by Giambi) do when confronted with the truth of his own complicity? He blames Giambi and threatens to suspend him for, basically, telling the truth. “Shut up or get out” is the mandate.
Now, Selig must go. His phoney-ness is oozing out all over the place.
