Mr. Unlucky’s Almanack

Do the aphorisms and observations of Benjamin franklin and his Poor Richard still apply, or are we beyond hope and salvation?

When you get right down to it, there’s not much any of us can do about the tyrants and injustices of the world, so where does that leave us?  Can we change anything?

Here’s my list of what I’d like to change in the world:

First, outlaw buttons in any type of clothing.  I spend half my morning getting ready in front of the mirror struggling with buttons that won’t fit through the buttonholes because they were cut with small tolerances and adding starch to a shirt restricts the hole.

Second, closely associated with buttons are neckties.  Outlaw them.  Not only are ties uncomfortable and unnecessary, but they also force you to buy new shirts all the time as your neck size grows due to aging and eating.  Buttons again.  Yuk!
