Mr. Unlucky’s Almanack

Do the aphorisms and observations of Benjamin franklin and his Poor Richard still apply, or are we beyond hope and salvation?

Try this on your kids, neighbors, friends, enemies, whomever you like–”What are we observing on Veterans Day?” Actually, you could start even more basically and ask them, “When is Veterans Day observed?” Some Baby Boomers (most hopefully) would know the answer, but any generation after that would be hard pressed to have a clue, certainly those educated in public institutions after the 1960s when truth and values became relative and of little or no consequence to a child’s education or upbringing.

In case you yourself are clueless, here’s a good resource: Veterans Day.
