This guy in Japan, married to what the Japanese refer to as a “demon wife” (Oniyome), is now the toast of the country. His blog, recounting his many cruelties at the hands of his wife (pulling food from his plate to eat it, making him sleep on the couch when he had a cold, and so on), soon morphed into a television show, serialized comic book, videogame, book and coming soon a motion picture. Now, why couldn’t I think of something like that for my blog? I think I’ll have to get more personal on these pages. Who cares what I think about politics?
Like blogman from Japan, I’m married to an Asian wife, who is Chinese, not Japanese. She’s certainly no oniyome, but maybe too much of the opposite–too kind and forgiving. I probably need to be whacked up topside of the head many times a week to keep me thinking straight.
I’m attracted to Asian women because, frankly, I find them more cultured, more attractive and more sexually desirable (the sexist pig in me) than their Western counterparts, who also tend to be more solicitous of one’s financial portfolio before tying any knots.
Now that I’m into this self-relevatory mode of my Japanese fellow blogger, remind me to tell you about our household’s $600 rat. That tale will reveal every stupidity in my fiber. Argh! (Anyone want this for a book or movie?)
